Quick version for kids
We use your textbook photos to make your game. We keep them safe for a little while to check they work, then we delete them.
We don't know who you are. No accounts, no passwords.
Your game results stay only in your browser. Close the tab and they're gone.
No cookies, no tracking. We don't follow you around.
What we process
When you photograph a textbook page, we send the photo to an AI model. The AI reads the page and extracts educational content - topics, questions, and concepts. This content powers the game your child plays.
What we don't store
PixQuest does not persist your photos in browser storage, app state after page refresh, or server logs. Session results exist only in your browser's memory for one session. Refresh the page and they're gone - by design.
Who processes your data
An AI model receives photos for analysis. PixQuest does not control the AI provider's data retention policies.
What we log
PixQuest application logs record derived metadata for quality monitoring: subject area, language, processing time, extraction confidence, and technical request metadata (random session ID, prompt version, processing cost). We never log photos, personal data, IP addresses, or device fingerprints.
Cookies and tracking
None. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-session identification, no analytics tracking.
Accounts and personal data
No accounts, login data, or profile identifiers are required. PixQuest uses a guest-only model. No registration, no login.
Children's privacy
PixQuest uses a guest-only model - no accounts, no user profiles, no persistent identifiers. Uploaded photos may contain personal information; the app does not extract or store it, but cannot prevent its presence in images sent to the AI model for analysis.
AI quality review
Submitted photos may be retained for up to 30 days so we can review and improve AI quality. EXIF metadata (including GPS, timestamps, and device identifiers) is stripped before each photo is written to disk. Only the internal PixQuest creator team can access the retained copies - those copies are not forwarded to any additional third parties beyond the already-disclosed AI model analysis. Most photos are deleted within 30 days; a few may be kept longer for quality review. To request earlier deletion, write to [email protected].
